Kamba turns your dimensions into a custom furniture build plan. You pick a furniture type and enter your measurements, and you get a plan calculated from them, with a cut list, shopping list, hardware, and step-by-step assembly instructions, as a downloadable PDF. €6.99 incl. VAT per plan.

Kamba currently makes plans for shelving units, alcove built-ins, under-slope storage and hanging wardrobes, calculated for your exact space. A closed cabinet with doors is announced. All of it is indoor storage furniture cut from wood panels: MDF, plywood or pine. Kamba does not do tables, desks, beds, seating, or anything built outdoors.

Every unit drawn in the builder is put through the same checks before a plan is produced: tip-over stability, load capacity, board-fit (it fits on real boards), wall-anchoring where needed, and cuts a beginner can make. When a check flags a problem, the builder tells you: depending on the case, it refuses the unit, suggests a fix or warns you. Each figure the plan states comes with the conditions it depends on: the specified material and thickness, every fixing fitted, a wall that can carry the load. Build it differently and the figure no longer applies.

No. Plans are designed for beginners by default: simple cuts (no plunge cuts), clear step-by-step instructions, and only tools and hardware you can actually buy.

Each plan lists the exact cut list, shopping list, and hardware you need. Materials and hardware are real and buyable on your market, never invented or hard to find.

It depends on the cut. Straight cuts can usually be done by a DIY store's cutting service: hand them the cut list from your plan. Angled cuts, such as those on under-slope units, are usually not: you cut those yourself, and our guides show how to mark and cut them. The store's saw has its own tolerance, so ask what they commit to and check the first pieces with your own tape. Either way, the plan includes the full cut list and the complete shopping list of materials and hardware.

Often, no. For a standard size, a ready-made unit from a shop usually costs less and takes less effort. If a shop unit fits your space and you like it, buy it. Kamba is for when nothing fits: an alcove, a sloped ceiling, a wall that isn't straight. That's where made-to-measure gets expensive with a carpenter. With Kamba, you pay for the boards, the hardware and the plan, plus a few tools if you don't have them.

A Kamba plan costs €6.99 incl. VAT, paid once, with no subscription. It is made for your measurements, your boards and your wall. It costs a small part of what you will spend on boards, and far less than a unit made to measure by a carpenter.

A free tutorial explains how to build a unit. It doesn't know your measurements, your wall, or what could go wrong in your home. A Kamba plan starts from your measurements and asks you the questions people forget the first time. Before you pay, you see for free your unit drawn from the front at your measurements, its estimated weight, the total area of its pieces (without offcuts), the calculated load for the shelves or the rod, and the calculation's alerts, most of them with a fix. When you click ‘Generate plan’, you also see the list of screws and fixings. The paid plan adds the cut list piece by piece, the assembly steps and the heights where you drill and fit.

Yes. Kamba works in centimeters or inches, and adapts materials and hardware to your region.

Kamba flags when wall fixing is required (for units 68.6 cm and taller, units taller than 4.5 times their depth, or units for a child's room) and lists in your plan the anti-tip hardware to buy. The rule assumes this hardware is fitted, into a wall that can take the load. An alcove unit needs no anti-tip brackets: it is screwed to the alcove walls with battens, wooden strips fixed to the wall, and the plan lists those fixings.
