DIY Disclaimer & Liability

Important — Please Read Carefully

Kamba provides measurements, cut lists, material estimates, and build guidance for informational and planning purposes only. Kamba is not a licensed engineer, architect, or construction professional. Nothing in the Service constitutes professional structural, safety, or construction advice.

You assume all risk. By using the Service to plan and execute DIY furniture projects, you acknowledge and agree that:

  • Tool safety is your responsibility. Power tools, hand tools, and workshop equipment can cause serious injury or death. Kamba does not provide tool safety training and is not responsible for injuries or harm arising from tool use.
  • Structural integrity is your responsibility. You are solely responsible for verifying that any furniture you build is structurally sound and safe for its intended use. Kamba makes no representation that any plan, design, or cut list will produce a structurally safe result.
  • Measurements may contain errors. Kamba makes no warranty that any measurements, dimensions, cut lists, or calculations produced by the Service are free from error. You must independently verify all measurements before cutting, purchasing materials, or beginning construction.
  • Physical injury and property damage are risks you accept. DIY construction inherently involves risk of personal injury and property damage. You accept full responsibility for all such risks when using the Service to plan or execute a project.
  • Material suitability is your responsibility. Kamba does not guarantee that any recommended materials are appropriate for your specific use case, load requirements, environmental conditions, or local building codes.
  • Local regulations may apply. Some furniture builds, particularly built-in or structural installations, may require compliance with local building codes or require a licensed professional. You are responsible for ensuring compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
Our recommendation

Always double-check measurements before cutting. Use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times. If you are unsure whether a design is structurally safe, consult a qualified professional before proceeding.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Kamba shall not be liable for any personal injury, property damage, financial loss, or any other harm arising from your use of the Service or reliance on any information provided by the Service.

06
